1. What is a cookie and what types of cookies does use?

The Avedian website ( uses cookies. A cookie is a file that is downloaded to your computer when you access certain websites. Cookies allow a website to, among other things, store and retrieve information about the User’s browsing habits or their computer and, depending on the information they contain and how the computer is used, can be used to recognise the user.

Log-in cookies: when the user enters our website and logs in, a personal and temporary cookie is installed so that you can navigate through your user area without having to re-enter your information. This cookie will disappear when you log out.

Analytical cookies: analytical cookies are used to anonymously track visitors on the website.  These cookies help us determine the most-viewed content, the number of visitors, etc. This information will be used to enhance the browsing experience and optimise our services. They can be both first-party and third-party cookies. The latter include Google Analytics and advice cookies.

Third-party advertising cookies: the purpose of these cookies is to optimise ad exposure. We use Google's Doubleclick platform to manage these services, which stores information about the ads that have been shown to a User, those that interest the User and if the User visits the advertiser's website.
